The Boathouse
For this project we were asked to clear a delapidated lambing shed and create a boat storage building, this soon changed to an outdoor lounge area with lovely views across the lake.
All timber framed, oak and cedar waney edging, handmade western red roof shingles, indian sandstone paving and tongue and groove cladded interior.
Complete with lights and power this makes a fantastic outdoor cinema, quiet reading place or just somewehere to take in the surrounding natural beauty.
Remembrance Sensory Garden
Originally a small swimming pond, this was well past its best with a cracked bottom, a re-purpose was in order.
We filled the pond with crushed concrete topped with shingle.
Main posts around the edge are connected by rigging wire to the central telegraph pole for wisteria and other plants to climb up, thus creating a natural canopy of colour and smell.
Flowerbeds were filled with sensory plants giving off scents and colour as well as attracting wildlife including bees, butterflies and birds.
A raised decking area entered via indian sandstone paving was created for outdoor furniture creating a wonderful late afternoon spot to enjoy the sun.
Yoga Deck
Our brief was to construct a large 10 metre wide yoga deck, without putting anything in the ground.
The frame-work is made of galvanised steel I beams and are completely free-standing on grid 'feet'.
Finished with western red cedar decking boards this deck is able to fit up to a 10 person yoga class.
Shepherds Hut
Working as part of a team creating beautiful shepherds huts, this one is 25 foot long, a monster!
We provided the cladding and raised decking area as well as installing the tongue and groove inside.
Rustic Sauna
A sauna that was asking for a fresh look, after lining the old panelling with sauna grade lining, the walls and ceiling were clad in western red cedar waney edging, finished with seasoned branches found on site.
We also installed the tiles where the wood burning stove will be, the lighting and pebble floor tiles to create a natural, beautiful effect as well as creating a great sensation on bare feet.
Potting Area
This potting area was created with left over material from other projects, creating an area for potting on and wood cutting and storage,
